This project is a research of using open source software in textile design.
In domestic swatches section, you can see what is possible on a domestic knitting machine together with description of machine setup and used graphic pettern. These knitted prototypes are used as a templates for an industrial knitting.
Part of this project is a research and survey of knitwear and knitted objects created on home knitting machines Brother type 9xx with an extension of the Ayab software and hardware. In a manual section, you can find instructions on how to set up a machine for double-bed knitting.
